Jenzabar Import Process
The AdmissionPros to Jenzabar Import Process is managed by the client and provides a pathway for applicant records to be pushed to the client’s SIS: Jenzabar. Clients have the autonomy to push available records at any time during the day. It is recommended that clients execute each step in sequential order to ensure that the process is completed accurately. See attached document and video for steps to perform the import process.
Be aware that the Jenzabar Import utility is common for Ugrad and Grad clients on the same campus. Hence, if both undergraduate and graduate are integrated with AdmissionPros, both divisions cannot run the application process at the same time. With with being the case, units must communicate with the other when they are performing the application piece of the process.
Note that Jenzabar’s import utility does the matching and the import of the data which is why the process is shared. This only applies to the first item on the AP screen, the steps (Jenzabar ID and Additional Information) belong to AdmissionPros and are not shared.
The application step uploads apps. Jenzabar has a matching process built into their import so matching/deduping is happening while we push applications. The absence of a valid major can prevent an application from appearing in the application menu.
The Jenzabar ID step returns IDs for AdmissionPros.
The Additional Information step pushes education information not included in the import. Jenzabar’s import utility does not handle education records. Hence, this step was created to handle this. Note: Education requires an ID to move to J1. If the Jenzabar ID step is not functioning properly or a record does not include an ID, the education information will not be pushed. Also, the absence of a CEEB or FICE prevents the education record from pushing to J1.
